WILMINGTON — The East Clinton boys bowling team defeated Hillsboro Monday night at Royal Z Lanes.
The final pinfall count in the non-league match was EC 2,697 to Hillsboro’s 2,616.
“They came together as a team showed a lot of grit in the baker games,” EC head coach Dale Wallace said. “Hillsboro is a good team. It’s always a good match bowling against them. They bring out the best in all of us.”
East Clinton put the match away in the baker games. Going to the bakers, the Astros had a 264 game from Preston Behr and led the Indians by 15 pins.
But after falling behind through two bakers, EC had games of 252 and 275 to rally for the victory.
