Willis hits, pitches Lions to 4-0 win over Hurricane

WILMINGTON — Piper Willis pitched and hit New Richmond to a 4-0 win Monday over Wilmington in SBAAC American Division softball on the WHS diamond.

Willis pitched a three-hiter and struck out 14 in the cirlce. She had two hits and three runs batted in at the plate.

Wilmington falls to 6-7 with the loss, 2-6 in the American Division. The Lions remain in the hunt for the league title, one game behind Western Brown. NR is 15-3 overall, 7-1 in the American.
