BLANCHESTER — With strong play at the net, the Blanchester volleyball team defeated Bethel-Tate 25-23, 23-25, 25-14, 25-23 Tuesday in an SBAAC National Division match.
“The girls came out with great energy and teamwork,” coach Shelbie Rose said. “We need to have this energy every game going forward.”
Blanchester (1-0, 1-0) had 44 kills and 16 blocks with Emma Hartmann leading the way with 20 kills and six blocks. Niki White had five blocks. Jade Jackson served a set-clinching ace in the fourth set, Rose said.
Madison Winemiller had 10 kills. Balie Bare had 39 set assists and Jocelyn Lansing had 50 passes.
