ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Jack Thamann recorded a shutout and Kennedy Morgan’s late goal lifted Clinton-Massie to a thrilling 1-0 win over Wilmington Thursday in SBAAC American Division boys soccer at Frank Irelan Field.

The Falcons are tied with Goshen at 2-0 atop the American Division standings. Massie is 3-0 overall.

Wilmington is 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the league. WHS has lost back-to-back games by the same 1-0 score.

Both teams had good chances at the net but neither was able to score, Clinton-Massie coach Trevor Kackley said.

Late in the second half, under five minutes to go, Morgan beat “multiple defenders and put a shot passed the outstretched arm of the ‘Cane goalkeeper,” Kackley said.
