Hurricane cross country runs at Lakota East Fall Classic

WEST CHESTER — The Wilmington cross country program competed Saturday in the Lakota East Fall Classic here at Voice of America Park.

Jacob Vance edge Max McCoy for top honors for the WHS boys by 0.3 seconds. For Vance it was a personal best by 94 seconds.

Alexa Benitez was the top runner for the girls.

In the middle school, Tad Shidaker ran his first cross country race and was the first Hurricane to cross the line in the boys race.

Josey King had the best day of all Wilmington runners, placing 30th in the girls race in a personal best time of 14:07.
