Falcons change lineup, start time but still win 4-1

HILLSBORO — A different lineup and later start time didn’t slow the Clinton-Massie tennis juggernaut Tuesday in a 4-1 win over Hillsboro in a night match at HHS.

Clinton-Massie is 8-0 on the year.

“There were some changes to the line-up for the evening and there were well-fought victories and losses,” CM coach Julie Kirby said.

Kirby said Addison Swope is “such a dependable player.” Kirby said Dakota Cartner “had some of the longest rallies I have seen as a coach” in her loss at second singles. Kirby pointed out Logsdon’s win at third singles secured the team win for the Falcons.

In their first pairing as a doubles team, Paige Oberweiser and Ellie Smith rallied from a first set loss to pick up the well-deserved victory.
