ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Clinton-Massie defeated Western Brown 4-0 Thursday and forged a three-way tie atop the SBAAC American Division boys soccer standings.
The Falcons are 3-1 in the league and are tied with Batavia and Goshen for first place. The win at Frank Irelan Field gives Massie a 4-1 overall record.
Jack Thamann made four saves in goal for his third shutout of the season.
Gleb Luce scored first on a penalty kick and Wyatt Coblentz added a goal a short time later, coach Trevor Kackley said. The Coblentz goal came on a 25-yard shot that deflected off a WB defender.
Later in the first half, Danny Mefford crashed the net and put home a rebound off a Kennedy Morgan shot.
Daniel Norman finished the scoring, finding the back of the net off another rebound.
