NEW RICHMOND — Wilmington scored a season-high eight goals Thursday in an 8-3 win over New Richmond in SBAAC American Division boys soccer action.
The win is the fourth in a row for the Hurricane, following a pair of 1-0 losses in August.
With the victory, Wilmington (5-2 on the year) is tied with Clinton-Massie at 3-2 and both teams trailed Goshen and Batavia who are 4-1 in league play.
The eight goals in a game is the most since the 2019 Hurricane pulled it off twice — an 8-2 win on Sept. 19, 2019 against Lynchburg and an 8-1 win Aug. 24, 2019 against Washington Senior.
