ADAMS TOWNSHIP — After dropping two straight matches, Clinton-Massie bounced back Tuesday with a 3-0 win over New Richmond in SBAAC American Division boys soccer at Frank Irelan Field.
Wyatt Coblentz had two goals and Noah Hawk added another as Clinton-Massie righted the ship after dropping three of its last four matches.
The Falcons are 5-3 on the year, 4-2 in American Division play. The Lions are 1-7 overall and winless in six league matches.
Coblentz opened the scoring with a “rocket of a shot from the top of the 18,” CM coach Trevor Kackley said. Hawk’s header goal came near the end of the opening half to put Massie on top 2-0.
Coblentz weaved his way through the Lions defense and nudged on past the keeper to finalize the scoring and CM goalkeeper Jack Thamann his fourth shutout of the season.
