W. Main St. sidewalk to close due to repairs

The City of Wilmington advises motorists and pedestrians of sidewalk repair work to take place beginning Wednesday, Sept. 18, and lasting approximately six weeks. The projected completion date is Oct. 28, 2024, weather dependent. The work zone is in front of the Masonic Lodge located at 28 W. Main St., according to Director of Public Service Michael Crowe.

The sidewalk and adjoining parking spaces in front of the building will be closed for the duration of the project.

The work is necessary for structural building repairs and pedestrian safety, according to Crowe. The contractor is Blue Sky Construction.

The City of Wilmington asks that all motorists be patient, reduce speed, and exercise added caution when traveling near this work zone. Questions regarding the closure may be sent to the City Services Office at (937) 382‑6509.
