Luther E Warren Peace Path set to close temporarily

The City of Wilmington has announced a partial closure of the Luther E Warren Peace Path to erect a new safety railing alongside the construction site of the new Wastewater Treatment Plant.

According to the city director of public service, Michael Crowe, the trail will not be accessible from the eastern side of the South Nelson Avenue entrance. The closure will begin Thursday, Sept. 26 and the trail will reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 1, weather permitting.

The City of Wilmington asks that all trail users be patient, and exercise added caution when traveling near this work zone. Questions regarding the closure may be made to the Office of the Director of Public Service, (937) 382‑6509.
