Hurricane edges Indians for 8th win in last 9 matches

HILLSBORO — Winning for the eighth time in its last nine matches, Wilmington edged Hillsboro 2-1 Saturday in boys soccer action at Richards Memorial Field.

The Hurricane is 9-3 on the year.

Ben Angelica and Jason Tecu scored the Wilmington goals while Bryce Vilvens assisted on each goal.

According to the SBAAC website, Wilmington had three goalkeepers in the match. Scotty Hall made 19 saves while Blake Wheeler and Nicholas Zerkle did not face a shot.
