WILMINGTON, Ohio — During Wednesday morning’s Clinton County Commissioners meeting, a proclamation was presented declaring the month of September 2024 as “Recovery Month” in Clinton County. The proclamation acknowledges the importance of supporting those in recovery from substance use disorders and celebrates the success stories of individuals who have made progress in their recovery journeys.

National Recovery Month, which began in 1989, promotes awareness of evidence-based treatment and recovery practices. It aims to reduce the stigma associated with addiction and encourage individuals and families to seek help. The proclamation emphasized the critical role of behavioral health in overall health and recognized the courage and resilience of more than 21 million Americans currently in recovery.

Clinton County Common Pleas Court Judge John “Tim” Rudduck and his team were present at the meeting to accept the proclamation.
