Falcons rally for 2-2 tie, knock Broncos off SBAAC pedestal

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Rallying from a 2-0 deficit Clinton-Massie tied undefeated Western Brown 2-2 Tuesday in SBAAC American Division girls soccer at Frank Irelan Field.

“It was a complete team effort for 80 minutes against one of the best teams in the Cincinnati area,” Clinton-Massie coach Tom Henderson said.

The result puts Massie at 4-10-1 overall, 3-5-1 in the American.

The Broncos are 7-0-2 in league play and trail Batavia now who is 8-0-1. WB is 10-0-2 in all matches.

Kailey Wax had nine saves in goal for the Falcons.

“The defense and midfield were crucial in taking away and disrupting a lot of the Lady Broncos attack in the second half,” Henderson said.

Down 2-0 in the second half, Rosie Hall put the Falcons on the scoreboard with Makenna Bennington getting an assist.

Just a few minutes later, Bella Ashley scored on a penalty kick to tie the match.
