Pets of all shapes and sizes gathered at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Wilmington for the annual “Blessing of the Animals” on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024. Held at 73 N. Mulberry St., the event brought together community members and their beloved animals for a special blessing in celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
