CENTERVILLE — Wilmington’s doubles teams had strong showings Wednesday before being ousted from the Division II Sectional Tennis Championship at Centerville High School.
Cary Holliday and Bailey Wheeler won two matches before losing to No. 3 seed Paige Buchler and Ellie Adkisson of Oakwood 2-6, 4-6.
Reagan Henry and Layna Holmes, throughout the year singles players who teamed for the post-season, won their first match then lost to No. 4 seed Ayana Sekine and Rylie Daniels of Eaton 3-6, 2-6.
