Early voting in Ohio began Tuesday at the Clinton County Board of Elections, located at 111 S. Nelson Ave., Suite 4, Wilmington, and continues until Nov. 3. Election Day is Nov. 5 with polls open from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

In addition to the presidential contest, Ohio’s ballot features a tight race for the U.S. Senate seat between incumbent Sherrod Brown and Bernie Moreno. The latest poll from FiveThirtyEight, conducted from Sept. 18-27 shows Brown leading with 49% to Moreno’s 45%.

Voters will also decide on Issue 1, a redistricting amendment that would reshape how political districts are drawn in the state.

In Clinton County, candidates for local office are running unopposed while some townships and villages will be voting on measures including the dissolution of the Village of Harveysburg, renewals of fire and EMS levies, and a 1% income tax for Clinton-Massie Local Schools.
