WHS plays best match of season in 1-0 loss to Lions

NEW RICHMOND — After a 6-0 result in the first match, Wilmington played much better in a 1-0 loss to New Richmond Tuesday in SBAAC American Division girls soccer at NRHS.

“The girls played their best game of the season,” WHS coach Pat Black said.

Wilmington is 2-13 overall, 0-10 in the American Division.

The Lions go to 4-11-1 in all matches and 4-5-1 in the conference.

The regular season finale was the last for nine WHS seniors — Emma Adams, Mia Ganz, Kailey Pfister, Olivia Bose, Bella Earley, Corrie Thery, Maddie Harris, McKinley Maia and Lilly Hudson.
