BETHEL — Scoring 35 unanswered points, Bethel-Tate remained in the hunt for the SBAAC National Division title Friday with a 35-14 win over Blanchester.

The Tigers are 3-0 in league play and now 4-4 overall.

Blanchester falls to 2-6 overall and 1-2 in league play.

Blanchester went up 7-0 when Zack Musselman took a short Brayden Behymer pass 51 yards.

The Wildcats pushed the lead to 14-0 in the second quarter when Behymer and Caleb Sears hooked up for a 29-yard scoring play just 13 seconds into the second period.

Blanchester seemed to take control of the game when Musselman came up with an interception on the next Bethel-Tate offensive possession.

But BHS was tackled in the end zone for a safety and the Tiger comeback was underway.

Bethel-Tate scored midway through the second to get within 14-8. Sears had another BHS interception and things appeared to turn back in favor of the Wildcats.

The Tigers, though, took the lead for good with just 37 seconds remaining in the half 15-14.

Another Blanchester interception stalled a Bethel-Tate third period drive but just 72 seconds later the Tigers are able to reach the end zone and take a 21-14 lead.

Bethel-Tate manages three fourth quarter scores to run away with the win.
