East Clinton Class of 1982 holds reunion

The East Clinton High School Class of 1982 held a reunion Saturday evening, Nov. 12, in New Vienna. Twenty-one classmates and their guests gathered to reminisce after 40 years. Absent friends and deceased classmates were remembered. Jury convicts man in killings of 8 from another Ohio family

Jurors convicted a man Wednesday in the killings of eight people from another Ohio family after weighing his denials and other testimony against the word of witnesses including his brother and mother, who previously pleaded guilty for their roles.

Locals partner to help Kentucky flood victims

Community partners including Sugartree Ministries, Habitat for Humanity REstore, Wilmington Church of God, Wilmington Church of Christ and Port William United Methodist worked together to load a truck full of new furniture on Monday to be delivered to Hazard, Kentucky. The items are being donated to the Eastern Kentucky flood victims left devastated after the catastrophic flood in July. This delivery follows multiple semi-trucks full of water, food, toiletries and cleaning supplies sent in previous months.

Annual veterans concert set for Nov. 6

WILMINGTON — The Unified Christian Men’s Chorus — comprised of men from Clinton, Fayette and Highland counties — will present their ninth annual Veterans Day program at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 6 at the Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 W. Locust St.

Volunteer to clean-up before HoliDazzle

WILMINGTON — A Clean-Up Wilmington Holidazzle Event will take place between 8 a.m. and noon on Saturday, November 19. Volunteers will meet in the Municipal Building parking lot at 69 N. South St.

English Club learns about grief recovery

English Club met on Nov. 4 at McCoy’s Party House. Hostesses were Judy Sargent and Avonelle Williams. President Nancy Williams welcomed 11 members and the guest speaker, Renee Quallen.
