FELICITY — Blanchester scored two goals in each half, and a pair of goalkeepers were between the pipes for the shutout as the Wildcats ended a three-match losing streak Tuesday with a 4-0 win over Felicity.

Blanchester (2-3 overall, 1-3 in the National Division) got on the board first when senior Jaida Jones scored 15 minutes in, hitting the top left corner of the net, coach Kyle Hamilton said.

The next goal came off a corner kick from senior Morgan Coyle, with Kendall Koch putting home the bouncing ball for a 2-0 halftime lead.

Koch scored again in the second half for a 3-0 lead then Hailee Harris finished the scoring with a long shot off the right side.

Junior Karlee Tipton and sophomore Ava Lanham shared time in goal, Tipton making three saves and Lanham making one.

“This was a great team win for us,” Hamilton said. “We found our rhythm and bounced back from two losses last week. Our defense played tough and smart and we did a good job on offense of finding the back of the net and keeping the pressure on. Our midfield was physical and made some good connecting passes.”
