GEORGETOWN — After a couple of close sets, Blanchester won the decisive third set and defeated Georgetown 25-22, 25-22, 25-15 Tuesday in SBAAC National Division competition.
“Bailie Bare had a great game playing the net and had a few nice digs,” Blanchester coach Shelbie Rose said. “The struggled with serving but in the end we were able to buckle down and come out with the win.”
The Wildcats are 4-2 in league play, trailing unbeaten East Clinton (6-0) and Williamsburg (5-1) in the National standings.
Georgetown is 4-9 overall and 2-4 in league play.
Leaders for Blanchester were Bailie Bare with seven kills, and five digs, Audri Byrom with five digs and 34 passes, Emma Hartman with four blocks, Jade Jackson with 10 assists and Madison Winemiller with five service aces. Jocelyn Lansing had an ace to end the third set.
