CINCINNATI — Blanchester dropped a 5-0 match Wednesday to Colerain in non-league tennis.
“Enjoyed restarting our series with Colerain,” BHS coach Matt Sexton said. “It’s been a lot of fun over the years. Probably the best one and two singles players we’ve faced all year. It was especially great for Lilly (Bates) to get to see that before this offseason. I thought both doubles played very well in losses against two senior doubles teams.”
Bates dropped a 6-1, 6-0 match at first singles. Ryan Maines and Breanna Weldon lost at first doubles 7-5, 6-1 while the second doubles pairing of Tatum Strange and Madison Taylor came up short 6-1, 6-4.
