East Clinton JV girls now 6-5

The East Clinton reserve girls basketball team is 6-5 on the year, the latest win a 45-22 victory over Williamsburg on Monday.

Bre Davis had 9 points while Sierra Christian had 9 points and 5 rebounds.

Lacey Peterman had 7 points and 3 steals, Gracie McCarren had 4 points and 9 rebounds, Paige Lilly had 3 points and 3 steals, Miranda Beener had 2 points and 4 rebounds, Kaitlyn Talbott had 5 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals, Kayla Hall had 4 points and Kaitlin Durbin had 2 points.

On Dec. 21, the Lady Astros defeated Adena 36-11. After leading 20-7 at halftime, the EC girls held Adena scoreless in the third quarter.

Christian had 9 points and 9 rebounds, McCarren had 7 points and 11 rebounds, Lacey Peterman had 4 points and 3 steals, Lilly had 3 points, Beener had 4 points and 3 steals, Talbott had 4 points and 4 rebounds, Hall had 2 points and Logan Peterman had 3 points.

On Dec. 19, East Clinton was defeated 35-17 by Clinton-Massie. It was a close game until the third quarter. Massie led 13-11 at halftime then outscored EC 22-6 in the second half.

Talbott had 6 points and 3 rebounds, Christian grabbed 5 rebounds, Lilly scored 5 points, Lacey Peterman had 3 points, McCarren had 3 points and 5 rebounds, Beener had 2 steals and 2 rebounds.

On Dec. 16, East Clinton edged Chillicothe 37-34. The Lady Astros rallied from a 19-13 halftime deficit to win the game.

Beener had 10 points and 6 rebounds while Christian had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Lacey Peterman had 2 points and 2 rebounds, McCarren had 4 points and 3 rebounds, Lilly had 4 points and 2 steals, Talbott tossed in 4 points, Hall had 3 points and 3 rebounds and Logan Peterman scored 3 points.

On Dec. 12, East Clinton stopped McClain 30-17. The Lady Astros held the Lady Tigers scoreless in the first quarter.

Christian had 11 points and 9 rebounds, Lacey Peterman had 4 points and 2 steals, McCarren had 4 points and 4 steals, Lilly had 3 points and 3 steals, Beener had 2 points and 6 rebounds, Hall had 4 points and Logan Peterman had 2 points and 3 rebounds.

On Dec. 9, East Clinton defeated Wilmington 31-19, pulling away with a 13-4 fourth quarter.

Logan Peterman led with 7 points and 4 steals, McCarren had 6 points and 5 rebounds, Lilly had 2 points and 3 steals, Beener had 2 points and 5 rebounds, Talbott scored 6 points, Christian had 4 points and 6 rebounds and Hall chipped in with 4 points.
