The Blanchester eighth grade boys basketball team shot a season-high 59 percent from the field an defeated Bethel-Tate 46-34 Monday night.

The young Wildcats, 6-5 on the year, were 19 for 32 from the field, coach Brad Ballinger said.

Kaleb Goodin had 16 points and five rebounds. Hunter Bare had 10 points and six rebounds.

Tanner Creager had nine points, nine assists and four rebounds. Avin Whitaker had five points, five rebounds and four assists. Cameron Skidmore and Braden Roy both tossed in two points. Jay Ashcraft had two points, five rebounds and three blocked shots.
