Blan battles but Fenwick prevails 5-0

News Journal Report

BLANCHESTER — Winning the first set in three matches wasn’t enough as Blanchester lost to Fenwick 5-0 Monday in a non-league match on the BHS courts.

“It’s unfortunate to lose such a close match to a quality team, but we played well to hopefully make us better (Tuesday) against league rival Bethel-Tate.”

Blanchester falls to 1-2 on the year.

Dakota Penquite at third singles, the first doubles team of Kayla Dugger and Wesley Mitchell, and the second doubles team of Nick Grogg and Tomas Oldham all won the first set in their respective matches but eventually lost in three sets.
