DAYTON — Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School tennis team defeated Chaminade-Julienne 4-1 Tuesday afternoon.
The young Hurricane is now 4-1 on the year.
Coach Cathy Fay commended Brayden Rhoads in his 8-1 victory. There were many lengthy games, Fay said, with some going to deuce “10 to 12 times.”
“It was a great night for the whole team,” Fay said.
Caleb Reed rallied for an 8-6 win at third singles. Avery Bradshaw led his match 6-4 but it was halted by lightning.
