BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester tennis team was defeated by Batavia 4-1 Monday in a non-league match on the Blanchester courts.

The Wildcats finish the regular season with a 10-5 record. BHS is 5-1 in Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division play, awaiting the outcome of the Felicity match against Bethel-Tate Tuesday to determine final league standing.

If Bethel-Tate beats Felicity, Blanchester wins the league title outright. If Felicity wins the match, the Wildcats and the Cardinals will share league honors.

The lone win for Blanchester on Monday came at second doubles where Jacob Miller and Matt Burden teamed for a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jared Herron and Cody Paulin.
