Lady Falcons win CNE Shootout

Emma Filipkowski, Angela Miller, Jezreel Forand, Kelsey Smith, Gabby Woods and Taylor Kropp, the championship team of 2016 at the CNE Shootout.


Led by tournament medalist Gabby Woods, the Clinton-Massie girls golf team opened its season Tuesday with a team championship at the CNE Shootout golf tournament.

The Lady Falcons shot a 398 with Woods leading the field with an 88.

The tournament was held at Cedar Trace Golf Club, a par 70 layout.

Kelsey Smith had a 97 and was also named to the first-team All-Tournament squad. Taylor Kropp had a 105, good enough for second team honors.

Angela Miller came in with a 108 and Jezreel Forand shot a 112. Emma Filipkowski had a 125, according to CM coach Tim McGraw.
