The Blanchester seventh grade boys basketball team was defeated by once-beaten New Richmond Wednesday night 36-32 in the regular season finale.

Blan coach Tom Greve said his squad played a great game. The Wildcats (3-12) will play 3:15 p.m. Saturday against Batavia in the post-season tournament at the Blanchester Middle School gym.

Blake Coffman had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Blanchester.

Seth Akers had six points and five rebounds. Gabe McVey had four points, three assists and two steals. Justin Hogsett had two points. Jacob Hamm had three steals and two assists.
