Wilmington’s Josiah Puller earned a pair of top four finishes in state wrestling tournaments recently.
Puller was fourth in the 61-pound weight class this past weekend in the Ohio Athletic Committee grade school state tournament in Youngstown.
He lost two matches, one to the eventual weight-class champion 11-9 and the consolation final match 4-2.
Puller was third in the OH-WAY state tournament in Marion, with his only loss a 9-4 decision to the eventual 61-pound champion.
Puller finished his season with a 43-5 record. He won the Miami Valley Kids Wrestling Association championship and was third at the Mason District tournament. Puller also was third in the OH-WAY Southwest Regional tournament.
Puller won a state championship in 2016 and had a day (April 7) name in his honor in the City of Wilmington.
